What is the role of the school counselor?
The counseling program at NYMS is available to help students, parents, and teachers develop positive learning experiences. The program consists of a variety of services and activities, including classroom lessons, non-therapeutic individual and group counseling, referral assistance to other programs and services, and parent and teacher consultation.
